Is there a specific reason you have not updated to SP2 yet?

    I see no obvious malware.

    C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\NORTON~2\NPROTECT.EXE
Norton protection makes a second copy of anything you move to the recycle bin. It really is not necessary unless you have a habit of deleting things and emptying the recycle bin when you should not. I would disable it from within the recycle bin or norton options.

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\oodag.exe
    OO defrag, great program but...
Each defrag utility has a different method of sorting files and determining where on the drive they belong.
XP uses a version of Diskeeper
One of the features of diskeeper (and since it is running , also 00defrag) is that it runs in the background and "optimizes" your hard drive when it detects drive and cpu idle time by moving around things to where it thinks they will run more efficiently. Great idea, but what happens when one utility thinks you should sort alphabetically, and the other thinks you should sort by frequency of use or priority or whether it is a program, OS file, data etc? You waste a lot of cpu cycles and drive access moving the same file back and forth.
Although you could edit your registry, I find the simplest suggestion is that you get tweakui from the microsoft powertoys for XP
Install and it will be in start/ programs/ powertoys
Run it and select general (do not expand) on left. Go to right side and near bottom uncheck optimize hard disk when idle .
    C:\PROGRA~1\NORTON~1\NORTON~2\SPEEDD~1\NOPDB.EXE
Yet another defrag utility. Three all running at once competing with each other. I think you disable this in windows services.
Go to start/ run and type services.msc locate speed disk and uncheck it. Might also want to check in norton to make sure there is not any thing else to disable.
