Whenever I created a new folder & insert a picture in it a thumb file is always present in there. This has never happened before, I am wondering what this "Thumbs" file is doing in there and if I try to delete it, it tells me that this particular file is a system file, I delete it anyway. Any idea of why I have this pesky "Thumbs" system file in my folders?

    Thanks

This is the thumbnail cache which enables the thumbnails to be displayed faster.

To turn off this facility ....

Windows Explorer > Tools > Options > View and check 'Do not cache thumbnails'. under Files and Folders.
