On my right click menu I have winrar in expanded form and winzip collapsed. I would like to have wizip expanded and winrar collapsed or gone. How do I do this?

Look here under Right Click Context Menus.

Should be possible to delete all winrar entries, but to expand Winzip - I rather doubt that that is possible - the way it is shown is probably in the WinZip code.

I don't use either program so I can't say for sure but you might be able to get it the way you want by checking the programs options. I have a couple programs who's options allow me to change right click menu entries to either be expanded or not.

I'm using Winzip version 8.0. The shell extension options are controlled with the program. "Shell Extension" preferences are on the "system tab" via toolbar menu>options>configuration>system tab.

I also use Winrar version 3.20 and again context menu shell options are customizable from with in the program. Toolbar>options>Settings>Integration tab.

I know the options will differ depending upon version but hopefully your versions and options won't differ to much.

    Good find, Anne :)

In WinZip 9.0 SR 1 it is .....

Options > Configuration > Explorer Enhancements and uncheck 'Display context items in a sub menu'

If the other suggestions already mentioned don't work for you then you can uninstall the program and re-install it. During re-install choose "Custom" option so you can select (usually with checkboxes) exactly which features you want.

Your most welcome, Donna. I didn't realize the context menu shell options were there myself until this post.... :)
