yahoo messenger dll probs

    i recently installed yahoo messenger 7 however i neglected to uninstall version 6 first. :mad:

    I was unable to install messenger 7 or use version 6.

    I have tried uninstalling every thing yahoo related and deleting all yahoo registry entries.

    Now when I try to install messenger 7 i encounter the error message "Could not load the dll library. The specified module could not be found. "

    I have also found that when i try and access yahoo mail from my desktop link that the error message "RUN DLL Error loading C\:progra~1\yahoo!\common\ymmapi.dll The specified module could not be found" appears.

    I use windows 2000 pro sp4

    Can anyone please help?

    Messenger 7 DLL issues

    Did anyone figure this out. My son is having the same problem at college where his cell does not work in the dorm. Voice worked so great with V7, I asked him to upgrade. :mad: Now nothing works but AIM :eek:
