I know no-one uses NT anymore but we've still got about 250 servers running it....

On one of them we're getting this netlogon error message every time a BDC is synchronizing.

Replication of the BUILTIN Local Group "Rid: 0x220" from primary domain controller BDHWNT28 failed with the following error:
The specified account name is already a member of the local group.

There are 2 MS articles on it - the most recent being this one. We've tried that and it hasn't made any difference.

Has anyone else ever seen it?

    Cheers

Is the error causing any problems? If not, I think I'd ignore it.

Otherwise, open up the event logs and locate that error. Post the Event ID, Source, Category, and a copy/paste of the detailed error message.

Sorry for delay, been out. It was causing an error when we were monitoring the event log using CA Unicenter as it created massive log files. It's not really causing any other issues. Tried using Newsid on it today to see if that forced a fix but still no joy.

In that case, I'd just ignore it. I have a bunch of servers and some of them throw lots of errors and warnings that really don't indicate an issue that is a problem. I have become very expert in paying them no attention.
