Hi. I read the sticky on copying the above but not sure it answered what I'd like to do. I have 3 computers on my home network and want to set up a network back up drive. Short of ghosting each drive onto the backup I have been backing up document folders and various data folders my other programs deposit here and there.

Oops, just noticed yesterday I haven't been getting oe files backed up, too. What I'd like to do is to move the mail & w. address book folders into My Documents, hopefully oe will be able to access them there when I'm doing email , and then I can just backup My Docs to the backup drive & cover OE data at same time. Will that work? thanks, Jon

I hope this is what you're looking for.....

Open Outlook Express and go to Tools>Options>Maintenance. Select Store Folder>Change and direct it to your My Documents folder. I would suggest creating a folder within My Documents to keep things "tidy ".

    Hope this helps!

In addition to the above - which relocates the message store, to relocate your Address Book (make a back up of it first (File > Export from the Address Book itself) follow this registry edit - Move the Windows Address Book

To relocate your Internet Explorer Favourites use Tweak UI - URL is the XP version - and go to My Computer > Special Folders > Favourites and type in the new location. Again, make a safety back up first.

... can be done in Windows Explorer. Just right-click and drag-n-drop to the desired location. The registry will get updated automatically.

I have moved all "user data" off the system partition ( C: ) to a separate data partition ( D: ). I use Replicator v2.2.3 to backup the folders on D: to F: on a second harddisk. You set up "jobs" in Replicator which can be scheduled and/or run manually.

I backup the system partition, using Ghost, to G: on the second harddisk. I copy some of the images to E: on the first harddisk but that's optional. It means that I will have something on the first harddisk if the second (backup) harddisk should go south.

jlp--Relocating and even backing up OE files is pretty easy and you have several suggestions above. Being able to restore the backed-up files is not so easy. Thought this article might help

P.S. If this is what is in the sticky, I am sorry. I did not read the sticky. :)
