I just upgraded my laptop from 98 SE to XP and find I have very little hard drive space left. Is it possible to un-install the previous OS to free up space and if so how is it done?

Thanks in advance and have a great day.

Did you upgrade or install as a dual boot?
If you upgraded, the old os is stored as a backup which you can just delete with disk cleanup (Start/ run and type cleanmgr and hit enter).

If you did a dual boot install it is harder. You can delete the win98 windows folder and then edit your boot.ini file to remove the boot option.
