my one and only IE (internet explorer) shortcut is gone from the start menu.
When i browse to its folder in c:\, the launcher program for IE is nowhere to be found.

the only way for me to launch IE, is through typing a URL in window explorer, for example.

how do I locate the IE launcher, anyone? For me, to create shortcut in the start menu, at least.

    just to update,

i restored the situation by linking to the shortcut found in file search.

the funny thing is, the shortcut links to

"iexplore.exe" in the folder where IE is installed, but when i go into that folder, this exe file is nowhere to be found. (note that the option to show all files including hidden and system files are enabled)

    * i'm using windows XP by the way.

ninelives1980--The default location of iexplore.exe is C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer. I'll bet you will find it there. :)
Glad to hear the problem is solved.
