Reboot into Safe Mode.
Delete all files and folders located in these folders.
C:\Windows\Prefetch
C:\Windows\Temp
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp

Delete this folder.
C:\Program Files\Winupdates

Find and delete these files. They may be Hidden, and most likely in the C:\Windows\System32 folder.

I am experienced with computer. I do not know how to read hjt logs though.

 

Please note that winupdates is one of the gaobot variants.
You should consult symantec or another antivirus site to ensure that you remove the components and entries not shown in Hijackthis and correct any changes it has made.

Note the last, you must reverse the changes which were made. Please scroll down to the bottom of the symantec page and follow the manual instructions. Many people feel it is enough to just remove a worm or virus, but there are frequently additional steps which must be followed to disinfect and repair your system.


This worm normally uses the DCOM vulnerability which was patched last year , so you probably had it for some time.
You should check Zone Alarm to ensure that the port it opened is now closed and that it is removed from the list so it cannot reinfect you from outside.

I see no antivirus program.
Avast antivirus free version for home use

Get it, update it and use it. I find the liteon skin easiest to understand, but the skins allow everyone to find one they like and can understand.
