I used partition magic 6 to change to drive letters(CD-ROM and CD-RW) in window 2000. It reset all the links but it didn't change the drive label. I had to use window 2000 utility to rename the drives.

Although it seemed everything is ok now. But since I had to use 2 different utility to change the drives names, I still feel a little(actually more than a little) uneasy.

I believe there are many PM fans out there. Let's here your opinion?

    PQ-Magic

I've had every ver: of pqm & would not leave home without it. I believe you can MAP the drive letters in pq6 on win2k. I have PQ7 now & never look back to six. In winxp the pq7 is a killer diller dude:D

Rancher. Unless you tried it, you never know. It has Drivemapper but it fixed the links in the registry but it did not changed the drive 's name.

I know that PM5's drivemapper works ok with win98.

    bummer, eh.

Seems pq-m6 had a shortcoming in win2k then & prolly why they released ver:7! WinXP & ver:7 get along just fine, havn't seen any real probs yet but 'spose powerquest will release ver:8 sometime this yr:)
