I am changing from McAfee, Norton, SpyBot etc. to Trend Micro and Webreoot software for AV, firewall & SpySweeper. Should I AFTER I uninstall Norton & McAfee clear all entries for them and others from the registry BEFORE I install the new AV etc.?
    Thank you

Theoretically you should clear the registry entries. But, unless you know of a program that will do it, wouldn't bother. There are thousands of them.
Some programs say they remove unused entries, so just uninstall the programs you don't want and install the new programs. All will be fine.

Think it's unwise to replace SpybotS&D however.
