Windows Installer Locking up

I seem to have a program that keeps giving me the following error message: "Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one. "

How do I stop this error message? It is caused by Tiny Persoanl firewall removal and system crashing at the same time.

Can you boot in safe mode? Tap F8 repeatedly after POST finishes (beeps). You might try again to uninstall the program in control panel add/remove programs, and then make sure it's all gone by checking in explorer.

 

To troubleshoot and resolve this issue, try to remove the Windows Installer-related registry entries. Install that application again.

 

Did all that. However, did not uninstall windows installer. I updated the program (windows installer) and it seems to have taken care of part of the problem. It only shows up when re-booting the system. The little box stays on for about 30 sec. and then disappears.

Have not had a problem since the update installing other programs.
