    Hi,

We have three computers in our home all connected to each other. We would like to show a couple of friends how we work on a spreadsheet to update the golf scores but it is hard for them to see the monitor as we edit and add words.

I searched the INTERNET and found this definition on the Microsoft Site:

    whiteboard
    n. Software that allows multiple users across a network to work together on a document that is simultaneously displayed on all the user's screens as though they are gathered around a physical whiteboard.

This is exactly what we need.

Is there any FREE software out there that will allow us to do this or even if there is some that is relatively inexpensive we would be willing to try it.

It is not for a business but just for our person use with the senior citizens in our area.

    Thank you for your help.

    Jean

Possible you could use Microsoft's "Remote Assistance ". Not sure if you can "Run" spreadsheet program on your local machine while remote displays your view on their machine. If spreadsheet program is installed / loaded / run on remote machine, then I know you could use Remote Assistant while they view your actions from their screen. For this option to work, remote computer must be XP-Pro (if memory serves me correctly).

    Hi Dennis,

Don't think so, looking in the Help and Support applet - comes up with To start Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and no mention there or under the trouble shooting links of this needing Pro. Perhaps you're thinking of Remote Recovery.

    Regards - Charles

    Hi,

Thanks for your help. I'll give it a try and get back to you as soon as I can figure out how to do it.

Thanks for all your help. Remote Assistance worked great. We can now edit the same document at the same time.

I wrote my notes so hopefully I won't forget the next time I need it.
