IE Script Error.

    My mother just bought a new computer for her business. The thing is that whenever she gets into her aceflex program, and tries to get access to her customer's credit card information and to process it, it does not allow her by giving her the message:

    then you click OK and goes to:

    I've been looking up information, tried all sorts of things and truthfully, it's giving me a headache! It's pretty urgent sadly. I want to try to fix it on my own (since it doesn't work here as well, WINDOWS XP). We called the company, they said it wasn't their problem. It actually works on my dads computer and used to work on mine. I don't know what caused it to not work anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Have you tried ....

    IE > Internet Options > Advanced and check 'Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)' and 'Disable Script Debugging (Other)' ?

    I am no programmer, but the limited information on Google may suggest a programming error.

    This comment may be supported by the fact that the original message is contained in the IE message. I would suspect that the program generates the first error which IE then picks up.

    If you click on OK on the second message what happens?

    The only other thought which comes to mind is ....

    Does Aceflex require .NET and, if so, is this, together with any updates - there is 1 I think - installed on the computer?

    Does Aceflex require a version of Visual Basic Runtime to run?

    These are questions for Aceflex may be in the manual.

    I regret that this problem is completely outside the scope of my experience.

    If I click on the second message with "Yes ", the page will just turn out blank with the customer's credit card information.

    Aceflex really gives no information whatsoever on what is required and such. The company that is using this program, we called and since the program is web-based, they say it comes from the computer's security and that they can not help. So who knows who can solve this problem!

    In that case try putting the site into the Trusted Zone in IE.

    praposo17--Right below the boxes in Internet Options|Advanced mentioned by PeteC is a box "Display a notification about every script error ". That should be unchecked.

    Apparently the site involved is not a Secure site, so I guess it does not make any difference whether the SSL and TSL boxes on the Internet Options|Advanced window are checked.

    I know that is doesn't matter whether they are checked or not. I've tried all combinations and nothing fixes it. So it's probably something on the computer that just cannot retrieve information from somewhere. I read a page about it from the google searches and asked Microsoft to see if they could send me a Hotfix, maybe that would solve it?
