Recently I chose to use My Yahoo as my home page.

It is quite user friendly and offers many worthwhile features.

However, I cannot find out how to remove the large ad that takes up 1/4 of the top of the page.

You can block pop-ups, but there does not seem to be a way to remove the ad at the top of the page OR..

... the ad that is under the title of the section "My Finance "

    Any ideas ??

The ad could be using Shockwave's Flash Player. It is part of the page and not a popup.

  3. to hide this advert.

I believe if you sign up for one of Yahoo's subscription packages it will remove the ads

    Thanks for your reply.

However, I did search for subscription services, and was not able to find any except web page ads, etc.

I did search in "help" and did not find....

Thanks, alboy, I did look through the list you suggested, and could not find any premium service that removed the ads.

I cannot find anywhere on Yahoo a place to send a message to the help department to ask a question. You are always referred to a FAQ.

Another suggestion is to use Firefox and the extension, Adblock. :)
