    Hi All

I had written previously about this unexpected_kernel_mode_trap in W2K. Originally, it generally occured with aol 7.0, but I have also been experiencing it with other programs such as winamp and powerdesk. It occurs unexpectedly and I can't see a pattern forming. The stop code is 0x07 and 0x08 (double fault). I have run diagnostic software and everything passes. I have also consulted the W2K knowledge base but have not figured this out (I have read a few of the entries in the knowledgebase). I also set up W2K to make a memory.dmp file, however, when I did this and got the kernel mode error, it totally ******* up the computer dumping the physical memory, took 60 seconds to end this operation, and on reboot, froze. I finally got it going but took some doing, and then, the memory.dmp file was 0 bites. I'm running a 1.7 P4 with 256 ram, dell system. Any ideas?

    Hi jsjb100
Did you ever try to eliminate Norton's as your culprit?

    Sorry about that jsjb100 :(
I sure don't know any more. Hopefully someone that's had similar problems or some insight will pop on this thread and help.
