i know where it supposed to be start>programs>accessories and there it is..but none of the files in my documents have anything to do with anything.i have four, filelib which is empty,my music- also empty, my pictures,ditto,regclean-not empty and volumeCdefrag report and that is it, nothing like windows explorer in win98se.
so where is it and how does it work? and does it have anything to do with these blue screens and page dumps that dont do anything just sit there forvever til i get tired of it and push the button. all i was trying to do was use one computer to get help for the other and i think that i opened a mess.

jan - unlike Win98 where everyones stuff is kept in the same folders, each W2K user has his/her own section including a seperate My Docs, etc.

If you open windows explorer and the Documents & Settings folder, you will see a subfolder for each user of the PC. In the user's subfolder, you should see their My Documents folder.

Note that unless you have admin rights on the PC, you can only see the entire contents of your own user account. You can see some things for other users but not all.

If I didn't answer what you intended to ask, please give more detail on what you want to know.

If you're asking where the Explorer file is actually located, it's in C:\WINNT.
