I used to boot straight to my desktop via the normal boot process ..Windows XP Logo prgress bar..Welcome Logo then the Desktop
After a normal shutdown after a day's use ..the next boot performed a checking drive for errors screen finally booting to a TO BEGIN CLICK YOUR USER NAME
screen which then takes me to the desktop
I am the only user setup as administrator
Any ideas as how to get back to my original boot sequence would be appreciated
    Thanks in advance........Kevin
PS..all my system restore points have gone also

XP Pro ..P4 3.2 / 1gig ddr/ Gigabyte Dual bios GA 81pe1000 Pro2 and all other good stuff

    1. Open the Control Panel
    2. Dbl Click User Accounts
    3. Click Change the way users log on or off
    4. Clear Check box for Use the Welcome Screen
    5. Clear Check box for Use Fast User Switching
    6. Click Apply Options
