Programs unable to Connect to Internet

I have 3 computers all on a network. We had a power surge yesterday and 2 of the 3 came back up with no problems. My daughters came back but for some reason, no internet programs work (email, browser, AIM). I checked the
network connections in her computer and it shows its connected to the DSL and working correctly. I did a system restore and that didnt help. Any suggestions as to what the problem is or how I can fix it?
