Help... I'm getting an Error Message "OLE registration error occured. The program is not correctly installed. Run setup again for the program. "

This is a brand new problem. I've tried to run the repair program, but that didn't fix the problem. I've also tried a reinstall of Outlook too and that didn't work either.

Is there a way to recover all my emails that are in my inbox and favorites and sent folder? There are a number of important emails in these folders (I know I should have backed them up...)

Is there any way to recover these emails or fix this problem without uninstalling and losing my documents? Maybe a fix in the Registry or something?

    Thanks!

Step #1 will be to copy outlook.pst and rename the copy to something and some place different so you have a spare. It should contain all your email folders, address book, etc.

Next, take a look at the following articles and see if any fit your situation.

    Thank you!

Hi Newt, I just want to thank you for your help!! Your suggestions did the trick.

I do have another question though... I made the copy of the pst file but I am curious how I could have viewed it if I could not have gotten Outlook to work? Is Outlook the only program that can view a pst file? If I would have uninstalled outllok and reinstalled it could I have imported the pst file back in somehow? Also I copied the pst file twice and named them differently, but one was 346MB and the next time right after that it was 987MB, why the difference? I looked in outlook at the properites of the folders and I come up with about 346MB worth of stuff, not 987MB?? Any ideas?

Thanks again for your help, you are the BEST!!

    Re: size change, no idea.

Re: viewing the file, nope. You would pretty much have to get it to a machine with working Outlook and import it into Outlook on that machine.

Anyway, glad to hear you are cured.
