    Hi all,
I am running an HP w/ a Pentium R 2.53Gig, with 512 RAM. I have XP home on it and was running Norton system's works 2003. I purchased Nortons' systems works premiere 2005 and installed it. Now, i know i am the cause of what happened. I wanted to install 2 items on the CD so i installed one, then clicked do not restart yet and installed item 2 then did a reboot. well, something happened and Go Back brought some things to waaaaay back....but not everything. now, everything seems to be okay except for when i go online. I use dial up and once on line it hangs badly until you finally are booted. Does anyone have any idea what could have possibly happened? I unistalled Nortons but it still does it. I appreciate any assistance w/ correcting my bone head error.. :)

admin note: title changed to more closely reflect the problem. Newt

ok what items did you install?
    how did you uninstall norton?
did you go to the norton website and get the program to get rid of all the norton stuff in your computer?
you might want to do that.

what do mean by finally booted?

Dial up issues after installing and uninstalling Nortons

I did go to the Norton's site to remove it correctly. All my other programs work fine..i only experience issues when I go online. I would assume it is a setting that some how got changed, but have no idea what it would be...
and by getting booted....it will be okay for a second, then you experience a hang for a few seconds then it is okay for a second..this continues until i am disconnected. Which never used to happen...i have never had trouble staying connected.....i appreciate any an all help!!!
