xp resolution

    hey.

    i'm running a dell inspiron 2.6 ghz / 128 mb with windows xp.

    the thing crashed on me: saying a dll needed to be installed.

    the only way out was to reload xp, and i now have xp professional

    the problem is manifold:

    1. the screen resolution is stuck at 640x480, with 16 bit color. help.
    2. ethernet access: none.

    Is that the version you get by doing a small hack to XP Home to gain some XP Pro features?
