I can download a file {ie}Mozillia without any problem. But when I attempt to install it I recieve the following messages.
The publisher could not be verified at the top of the drop down window with the notice " this file does not have a digitial signature that verifies its publisher, posted at the bottom

When I click run I get another drop down that states: C:\documents and settings\oscar compton\my program\Mozillia-win32-1.7.11-install exe is not a valid win32 application.

It started this last Fri. and I do not have a clue what the solution is.

Your security options on IE are not allowing you to download the certificate for that file or Your have not that cert. company as your root cert. trust list on the IE options.
You can download the file for installation sucessfully?
Try to see if the page where you are downloading the file is loaded without errors.

Thank you Windux. I shall check your suggestion and will inform you if it corrects the problem. IF I can check them out properly. Sometimes I don't do all that well in checking something out that I know nothing about. But I may get lucky.

    Take care,

Problem with XP,SP2 and Digital Certificate.

    Windux,

My repair man decided it'd be less expensive to strip the computer down and start from scratch then to spend much time looking for problems. By the time I got it down to hime and checked it there were more problems so his suggestion made sense to me. So that is what we did. Everything is fine now.

Thank you again for your concern. Maybe I can return it sometime. I'll have to get a lot smarter then I am now to do it. But you never know.

    Best Regards,
    Oscar

Oscar - hang around here. Read the threads and if you run across one where you know the answer (and that will happen) then answer. If you run across one where you think you know but aren't sure, do some internet searching.

Pretty soon your searching skills will improve several thousand percent and your fund of knowledge will grow. You will amaze yourself.
