I kept getting server error messages when trying to send e-mail, but was able to receive without any problems. In haste, I deleted/removed my POP e-mail account from Netscape 7.2 in order to re-enter the same e-mail information, hoping that would correct the inability to send messages. Upon removing/deleting the POP account, all of my e-mail folders were gone. I found them in the Profiles directory but need to know how I can restore them. Thanks, Awilda

After setting up the accounts as you had them figure, you locate the profile mail folder, and you will find two folders for the same ISP, like xxxx@isp.net, which is the one you deleted, and xxxx-1@isp.net, the new one.
You can open the old folder, right click|copy on the Inbox, and then open new folder, and right click|paste. You will be asked if you want to replace the existing file. You can do that if you have not downloaded any mail with the new set up, because this process will overwrite any existing e-mails. So, if you have already some new mail, you may want to rename the old Inbox. Now, you will have two Inboxes, one the new active one, and also the oldInbox.
You repeat the process of copy/paste for the Sent file, and any subfolders you may have created. Do all this with closed programs

Westside, your instructions weren't too clear when the time came for me to try and fix my problem, so I followed Ramona's step-by-step instructions and they worked! I'm back in business!

To: Awilda, sorry, I made an error, with a POP account you should have had the old account as pop.isp.net, and the new account as pop.isp-1.net. I was getting mixed up with the address which is not listed in the mail folders.

To:Iripped: this is the usual way to get to a profile . We don't do any direct e-mail. In fact, I discourage anyone from entering an address.
