    Please help me. I'm just a guy in a nursing home with no experience at this. I have a program called Host File Manager that talks about using a command line to schedule updates. It says to make an entry in Task Scheduler, but I don't know how to do it. The line is "C:\Program Files\HOST File Manager" /HostManager.exe \u. Don't you have to do that at the command prompt?

    Nope, not at the command prompt.
    Go to Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools, choose Scheduled Tasks. In the new window that appears, choose Add Scheduled Task.
    A window will appear titled 'Scheduled Task Wizard', click on the Browse button. A smaller window will appear titled 'Select Program to Schedule', enter this in the area next to where it says "File name ";
    "C:\Program Files\HOST File Manager" /HostManager.exe /u "
    Please note that I changed the last slash mark so that it goes the other way, this is important as it would not work the other way.
    Now you will be prompted to choose when you want it to run, day, time, etc.

    :) I did what you said and it said:...the file name is invalid ". I must still not be doing it right. The program was in the schedule, but not at the interval I wanted. And as I said it gave me that error message when I typed in that line. Are ther any visual examples of doing something like this?
