I'm running Windows XP 2 and Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180. My Cache is set at a Maximum of 10 megabytes but is showing 30 megabytes and increasing. This is happening on my Laptop and Desktop. Any ideas how to correct it ?
    Much appreciated.

    Hello reknaw,

IE Tools > Internet options > Advanced tab:

Scroll down to the Security section and check "Empty Temporary Internet file folder when browser is closed ".

Back in the general tab under History, how many days do you keep of urls of the visited sites? Might want to adjust that down.

How many cookies do you have? Might want to empty the cookie folder as well.

    Regards - Charles

To add to Charles' response ....
It is likely that your cache is corrupt - either a corrupt folder or the hidden "index.dat" is damaged.

I suggest you use CCleaner as suggested here.

When using CCleaner ensure that only the IE option is checked - and uncheck those items under IE that you want to retain - like cookies, autocomplete ...
