    Dear Fellow Friends,

Does anyone know a program or a way to easily make a shortcut to take you to a particular web site rather then using the links bar or Favorites. It seems you can copy the url but cannot seem to paste it. I wanted to create some short cut links on my desktop to some of my commonly used sites. Anything would be helpful. Thanks for your time..Have a great day!!

    JJ

    Quite straightforward ....

If the URL is not in your Favourites put it there. Then Right click on it > Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).

  3. to hide this advert.

Or, you can right click on the Address line and drag it to the desktop...

Are you trying to paste directly to the desktop?

Try copy URL from Browser Address bar and right click on the Desktop and create a new shortcut then paste in the space next to the browse button.

    Works for me.

    Steve

I can't drag the address with right or left click directly to the desktop. Can you?

Yes! Drag the IE icon in the Address bar - not the actual address.
