Look2Me is way2evil - Help please!

Hey all:

I've been reading through the board, and if anyone can help it's you all here. I have a laptop that is infected with Look2Me, and I have not been able to remove it. Symantec NAV detects Look2Me-infected DLLs in windows\system32 (each is 408K in size, randomly named). I can delete them, but a new one is created at each reboot.

So several scans by NAV, ewido, ad-aware, noadware, and SpyBot later, not to mention the clumps of hair missing from my scalp, I give up. Can someone please take a look at my HJT log and offer some advice? Thanks a million to you all!

First, get rid of noadware! It's a rogue spyware remover.

Then, download L2mfix

http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Appreciate the noadware tip; I removed it. Got L2Mfix; here's the L2Mfix Find Log (option 1). Unfortunately, the msg server tells me that, with the log, my reply is 2,693 characters too long. So I'll post it in two parts; the last part of the Find Log is a bunch of dir-type listings (beginning with "Files Found are not all bad files ") will be in a separate posting. If you'd like me to u/l a zip file, I can do that too.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

Delete the Look2me folder. Empty the recycle bin.
Reboot and run an online scan with Panda ActiveScan. Save the report and post it here please. Reset your Internet Explorer homepage to whatever you like and create a new HijackThis log, then post it also.
