After uninstalling the norton program and a few others from my PC, I have had problems restarting the computer, at restart the screen pops up with "TBAV integrity check:OK! "
    No System!
when I select "enter" for hard disk it boots straight to windows Xp. So, i read a bit on line and thought i'd try pushing F11 as I restarted the computer and got into the menu there, I then selected to "reset settings to default ", and supprise supprise, it made no difference EXCEPT now the CD-RW will not open, there's no light on either.

I download the AVG free program and did a full scan and found that I have Trogan virus ummm....called backdoor.small.27.AQ could that having anything to do with it? Help someone please

On PC's for some customers, I found they had previously tried to uninstall a Norton product and were not successful. Norton does have some Clean tools that are very helpful in this situation.
The Method I would suggest is to uninstall Norton and then run one of the below indicated Tools.
The Tools are: 1) RNAV2003.EXE (For 2003 Norton products and earlier)
    2) SYMCLN.EXE (For 2004 Norton Products and later)

Removing Norton AntiVirus 2003 or earlier by using the Rnav2003.exe
The link to Google it here

For 2004 and later Versions use this:
