I searched forum but found nothing to help.

Problem being that the calculator is missing! I did a windows search, found nothing. I have MS Works Suite 2004 installed , I have no calculator under accessories either. Using XP-sp2. Any ideas? Thanks

Click on Start->Run and type: CALC to see what happens.

If it doesn't work, Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs->Windows Components and add it from there.

What is the run command for the plus calculator? I know the regular one is calc.

Microsoft Calculator Plus is a standalone program which installs to Program Files. If you want to run it from Run first copy CalcPlus.exe to C:\Windows\System32.

The run command is then calcplus

Thanks. Learn something new every day. :)

I have a folder of standalone exe. files (tools) that are not in program files. Does it work for them too, or only the ones installing in program files?

Yes, should work for standalone *.exe files.

Pete C - I downloaded the MS Calculator you suggested and it is very nice. Even does metric and currency conversions. I will be in eastern Europe for a couple of weeks in August so it will be very handy to have. It now resides on my Desktop. Thanks.

Yes - it's a handy tool for those who want a bit more than the standard.
