ALT +F4 Shortcut no longer functions

    I've recentley noticed that the ALT +F4 shortcut to close programs no longer works at all. All Windows 2k updates are installed. No viruses or spyware are present. MSKB offers no help at all. Baffled...

    Some keyboard shortcuts may not work if StickyKeys is turned on in Accessibility Options.

    not Stickykeys

    Windux, Thanks for the thought. That didn't cross my mind whildest racking my brain, but the Stickykeys option is not enabled. Any other thoughts?

    Do any other function keys work? Like 'F1' etc? It is possible that your keyboard has 'F lock' turned on (if it supports the feature)
