What is the source of this report?

Suggest you run an online virus scan - go via Quicklinks in my signature - and post back with the results.

Pete the source is from "http://activescan.pandasoftware.com/activescan/Srv2 ".

I'm not sure why you need to know that. Because it just a report about the computer. I've working on this issue for about 2 weeks now. I've done almost every scan. Nothing. no one seems to be able to help me here. Everyone just wants to play around. Can someone really help me out here?

True, but if we are to help it is essential to know what is reporting, Those familiar with Panda can no doubt interpret the report - I am not.

I suggest you download HijackThis through Quicklinks in my signature, save it to a folder on your hard drive - not to the desktop or a temp folder, run a scan and post the logfile here.
Surely - provided that you give the info requested and follow the instructions which may be posted.

    Hjt Ii

Okay, I have actually just found a solution to my software not opening up. I stumbled accross it by a mistake. In IE, I went inot the Internet options menu. I clicked on Advanced then Security. I checked the box that wasn't checked. It is the option that says, " Allow Software to run or install even if the signiture is invalid. Then I clicked on the desktop icon, and it opened with no error message.

Now, I must ask. What is a signiture. Plus, there are two signitures or identities on this computer. How can I make them identify to one person. Meaning me! This computer was a gift a ways back. I think it needs more twicking. Yet, I'm still concerened about the computer having a looming virus. Can you also answer these questions as well as explain the highjackthis logfile?

Don't recall you mentioning that before? Anyway problem solved.

A digital signature may be added to a file to confirm it's authenticity. This is put on my the supplier of the file. All MS stuff has a digital signature .... Using File Signature Verification

Then there are personal signatures that you can add to emails ....

In OE > Tools > Options > Signatures
    Identities or Users?

To manage Identities - in OE - File > Identities

To manage Users on the Computer - Control Panel > User Accounts

Your HJT log will be analysed when it reaches the top of the pile. As I mentioned here or elsewhere, there are only a few members on the Board with that ability and a huge number of logs to get through. Bear in mind that we are all volunteers on this Board.
