Hi guys, I recorded a tv programme on my home PC video card, trimmed it and burned it as a slide show with Nero Vision Express to the Video CD format.

This won't play on my work PC, which is XP SP1 with Windows Media Player 9. With auto play activated, when I insert the CD I just get the list of files on the disk - directories called CDI, EXT, MPEGAV, SEGMENT and VCD. Double-clicking on the contents does nothing, and I can't even import files into Windows Movie Maker. I'd hoped that aveseq01.dat which is 94 megs might have had something useful in it, but no.

Surely you don't need to have Nero Vision Express on the destination PC to play CDs created with it - or do you? Has anyone ever had success with this setup?

I'm going to have to repeat the process over the weekend. I was planning to try Moviemaker this time - can anyone suggest a better way to edit the mpg and burn to a (playable) disk?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jo

    Ignore

Have converted the file with ISO Buster. All is well - apart from the fact I clipped out the bit I wanted, not the bit I didn't want :( - laughing stock of office now.

    not very good

when you have spare time you could try uninstalling then reinstalling the nero suite and see if that fixes the problem.
