I have a friend with Win98SE/450MHz processor/lots of HDD room and is looking to purchase an internal DVD burner. I see conflicting requirements on the web and on DVD boxes. Is there an absolute minimum with which a DVD burner will work? TIA

bobmc32, Also don't forget the requirements for whatever Software that comes with the Hardware, or any other one you may choose.
If you do Capture functions, you'll need more video Bandwidth for quality output.

Thank you both for the info. I have forwarded it on to the interested person. It's appreciated.
