Device Setup- Configure Sync [Windows Media Player]

    Hi All,
    can someone help me. Each time i insert my USB drive and i have windows media player open, i get a box which tries to sync my music. i looked in options to try and turn this off, but i could not find anything. anyone know how to turn this off?

    Try ...

    Windows Media Player > Tools > Options > Devices (plug in your USB drive) > Refresh.

    Highlight the drive > Properties - Synchronise tab and untick 'Start synch when device connects'

    Thanks for the response Pete, but that didn't work. when i unplug my usb drive and plug it in, WMP still lauches the configure window.

    I rarely use WMP and am not a music buff so the problem does not arise for me :)

    However you may be able to 'reverse engineer' Configuring Auto Sync as detailed here
