Adapter from USB "bare pin" connector to standard "Type A" USB connector?

I know this will appear to be an odd question, but please bear me out.

Currently I have an internal USB2 memory card reader connected to an PCI card.
    The reader: http://www.arrowmicro.com/internalcardreader_2.htm
The PCI card I am using has apparently been discontinued, but that is OK since it is no longer functioning properly anyway (it cuts out intermittently and dismounts the card reader). Hence the problem.

I wanted to free up a PCI card slot for something else I am working on.
Already in my computer I have this card:
    http://www.siig.com/product.asp?query=US2285&pid=300
which contains 1 internal USB connector, not currently connected to anything.

The problem is that the memory card reader has just the female "bare pin" connector, and my current PCI card has standard USB receptacle.

Is there an adapter somewhere that will allow me to connect this card reader to the SIIG card, or would I be better off just replacing the card reader with one that has a standard USB connector (if one exists)?

They don't have what I am looking for (although it looks like they have just about everything else!).

Hi Kheldar, did you check that website under "adapters "?

Found another one the other day, it was called something like "everything USB ".
I found it with a Yahoo search. Try searching for "USB adapter" or "internal USB adapter ".

I don't know what to make of those connections on the back of the Card Reader. If you have the manual (or it should be on the drivers disk), it will tell you what they are called and you can search for that.

How is it currently cabled? Can you get an adapter for the current cable?

    Matt

I found an adapter locally that had 4 bare pins at one end and a USB male connector at the other end. Apparently the local store makes it themselves, and sells it for $3.89.

Unfortunately I was able to determine that my card reader is defective, so it didn't resolve the problem.
