My blind son uses "window eyes," a program that speaks every word on a page.

It is not easy to "read" IE in the format the rest of us see - graphics, tables, html, etc.

At one time I was able to find a way to "convert" the viewing of IE to text only. Now I cannot find that methed.

Is there a way? Or not?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello Judy,

The only way that I know of w/o using specialized software - if it exists - is to save the web page to the HD as a .txt file:

From the IE tool bar > File > Save as > then in the "Save" dialog box > Save as type drop down menu > .txt

    Regards - Charles

I sent a copy of your question to a friend that works for Microsoft and asked if he had any suggestions.

Probably 1st thing to do is to uncheck various options under Multimedia on the Advanced tab from Tools > Internet Options.
