Okay, I've read the thread about the "limited or no connection" problem, and that is what I'm dealing with. Upon reading that one though, I never saw a cure-all fix in it; just a bunch of people offering their opinions.

Does anyone know how to fix that problem???

For those of you that don't know what I'm referring to, heres the issue:
[ I keep getting that annoying "limited or no connectivity" message from the Windows XP toolbar at the bottom right of the screen when I first boot up my system. All I have going for me is 2 computers (1 a laptop with SP2, and the other a desktop). Both are running XP, and yes, the cross-over patch catV is working fine. I've tried renewing my IP, disconnecting and reconnecting, disabling the adapter and re-enabling, and even that "Winsock Fix" program. All of these attempts failed miserably. This game that we've played before (Rogue Spear: Urban Operations) has never given us any problems beforehand, but now that I have a laptop with SP2, it fails to even load up to the multiplayer screen! I'm at a loss with this very frustrating issue. Could some genius please help me!? PLEASE!]

    :(

The best way that I found was to install a Router.

We had that same problem for awhile until I installed the Router. Put a NIC in each machine. 1 XP Pro and 2 98SE.

PLus an other HUGH advantage if you had DSL or Cable Internet. Each machine is connected separatly. And they can all be on at the same time.

Right now I am on here. One machine is on the Internet. The 3rd is playing a game stored on this machine.

    PS.
With the Router you will need to install the game on all machines. But believe me it is well worth it.

Thanks for the input BillyBob, however I think it had something to do with the dynamic assignment of the IP's as well as turning on the ICS within the networking for it is working now. I don't really get computers sometimes, but hey, I guess thats why I'm going to school for them! Thanks again guy.
