I found in these BBs the procedure to delete CERES from Win98, does anyone know how this can be done in WinME?

Not sure what a "CERES" is, but did you try the instructions you found for win98?

F8 does not bring up option #5 in WindowsME.

While waiting for a response, I thought about the difference between 98 and ME. I decided to follow the instructions for 98 at the DOS prompt under ME. It did not remove all of the infecting files, but it did allow for the files to be deleted via normal deletion techniques. After I returned to windows, I ran a search for files "*ceres*.*" and deleted them. Further searching found files named "Buddy" and "abi* ". I deleted those, also. I haven't had a Ceres Popup since.

    Many thanks,
