    SVEN, Congratulations :D

From my past programming(?) experience and with the different Neumonics we used for the encoding I'm going to try to take a long shot at explaining this (I hope  ) It seems to me from what I've seen on the web at various sites that this IoctlSocket appears to be a I/O Control (That is) Giving Commands or is a pointer to data to be used by the function or to be filled in by the function (ie. a Socket).

IoctlSocket performs a special function on the object referred to by the open socket descriptor fd.

Simply put, IMHO, you obviously reinstalled missingfile or cleared out the Inhibitor :D , since you did as follows:
Anyway thanks for the good news Now this old GEEK can sleep tonight!! :D

Sounds like the time-machine has worked.

Would just suggest to be careful when installing/reinstalling programs to be cautious with programs that are similar to or may clash with Nero.

    Follow-up to my DVD problems

After a ghost restore that was 3 month old and an extensive reconstruction of what ever was missing, I got it to work just fine. Even windows’ burning is checked and Nero does not mind.
( that was working before all this started )

After burning our vacation to DVD in NTSC format, I wanted to burn it again in PAL Germany and at the end it gave me an error telling me it could not create the file structure or some such thing.
I went like "Oh No, not again" Then I burned it again and it worked. The reason for this error was the DVD disk. I tried to make a new Ghost Image and it did like the first disk ( MAXELL ) but not the second Disk ( ILO Technology ). I tried 1 more time and had the same result. I can use those DVD Disks only for basic copying and things like that, but DVD movies and apparently Ghost is too much for them. I guess it is still true; you get what you pay for.
Next mission: buy some good DVD Disks ( Maxell? ).

Anyone have any recommendations on what Disks to buy? Besides Maxell?

Again, thanks for all your help

    Sven

I am sure that there are many good brands of DVD but I will say that I have never had a failed burn with Memorex or TDK DVDs.
