Since I finally got DSL, the icon of 2 monitors telling of 'local area connection' in the system tray will not stay hidden.

Every time I come out of Standby the icon reappears and I have to re-hide it.

Is there anyway to get it hidden permanently?

    Thanks

Go to Control Panel>Network Connections, right click on the connection you use, left click on Properties.

At the bottom of the General tab, uncheck the box, "Show icon in notification area when connected," click OK. That should remove it permanently.
