It is not clear to me if you have FF and TB now, or if you intend to have it.
You should save the profile of NS7.2, in first place. Then, it depends if you want to put NS7.2 back in, or go directly to FF and TB. If 7.2 is installed, and fully operational, FF, browser only, should ask you which settings do you want, and, if you select NS7.2, you will have the NS bookmarks. But TB is a mail only program, and I frankly don't know if you can have an automatic set up, with a pick up of the NS7.x settings, but you can, certainly, get your files manually from the NS7.2 mail folder.

    liphor,

I certainly agree with Westside, in that if you install 7.2 on the new setup, Thunderbird will also give you the option to automatically migrate your Mail from Netscape.

I have a guideline for restoring your Profile, after a reformat:

Yes, I would, because I don't think that the other programs would know what to import. And, since FF and FB are so unique, it is not necessary to uninstall a suite like Netscape7.2. It is, actually, a bad idea to remove 7.2, or whatever else you may have.

    Migrating more profiles to thunderbird

Thanks . I have been able to move my profiles to firefox but for TB I can only move one profiles using the method suggested. I would like to know how I can move other netscape mail profiles to TB.

    liphor,

When you chose to migrate the Netscape 7.2 profile to Thunderbird, only one Profile was auto migrated?

If so, then you will need to create another profile in Thunderbird and manually copy the Mail and other files you need. If you have questions, let us know.

It al depends why you had different profiles. Are the profiles all yours? Or are they used to accomodate different mail accounts as they were in NS4.x?
In other words, if you want the account separate, you will need to create different profiles. It will not be necessary if you can have all the accounts in a single profile. In the first example, the the simplest approach is to right click on the TB shortcut|Properties, and type -p right after the info in the Target area, to look like this: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -p
One keyboard space after the .exe" .
Then, you will get the profile manager|Manage Profiles|Create profile, as it has been done with the past programs.
I would not recommend this way, since you will have to select a different profile or shortcut everytime. If possible, all accounts should be in a single profile.
This is simpler because you need to set up the accounts in Tools|Mail and News accounts, just as they were in the various 7.2 profiles. Then you can copy the old Inbox of each account from the 7.2 account, and paste it into the TB mail account.
I am hesitating to give more detailed instructions, because you may want to keep your mail separate, and also because a number of people are using profile and account as one and the same, but they are not.
If each account has its own address book(s), the address book(s) should be exported from the AB of each profile as .ldif files.

I understand. My wife has a profile of her own, and I have two copies of the shortcut, and then modify the Target according to Ramona's Netscape solutions hack . I name the shortcuts, as needed.
In your case, you will have to create profiles for each of the persons whose profile was not imported. Once for Firefox and another time for TB.
Take your time doing it, it is going to be a bit tedious, but it should work fine.
You will have the options to import the information from each profile, so it should work smoothly for FF. (Use File|Import)
For TB, you will have to set up your accounts, and then copy the old Inbox, and Sent files(renamed is best), and then paste them into the TB ffolders.
I have been able to keep one Profile as default, and not the other.
