    Hello All -

Is there a way to stop (or bypass) the 'Enter network password' dialog box from asking me for a password with MS Networking whenever the computer is booted/rebooted? This is only a 2-box network and we don't have or use passwords on either one. No gov't secrets here.

The computer that asks for the 'sign-in' is running Win98SE. The other one is running Win98 (upgraded from 95) and it never asks for anything.

As always, any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

The simple way is to right click on Network Neighborhood, left click on Properties.

Then select "Windows Logon" in the drop-down list for "Primary Network Logon," click OK. It will require a reboot.

The logon password dialog box will appear one more time. Click OK...do not click Cancel or the X...and that's the last time you'll see the password prompt at boot.

Chicagotech - Thanks for the link. I book marked its "home" for future reference.

Miz - Thank you. That fixed it and I'm now a happy camper. :)
