    Hi jmlooi,
One thing that had me worried for a while when my monitor started intermittently flickering turned out to be me putting my mobile/cell phone down next to it. The phone intermittently sends signals (I suppose to maintain a trace on it's location).

Other reasons I can think of is if it only happens when Windows starts, there can be a flicker when the graphics "control panel" takes charge of the display.
The graphics drivers can be "sus" (see if there are updated drivers or remove and reinstall them), although you could test this by connecting the monitor to another computer.
If it happens when you are running graphics intensive programs (games) it could be that the graphics card is at it's limit or may even go back to being a DirectX problem. Again test it on another machine.

The only other area I can think of is the refresh rate of the display. This may be set too high or too low. Generally, a setting of 70-75 should give good results (at least to test with), although you should check the User Guide for recommended settings (and the User Guide may have a "troubleshooting" section as well). You should be able to get the User Guide at the Philips website.

Check/think of anything that may be affecting power in your house (eg, a faulty refrigerator or hot water service). Also, are there any devices in the vicinity of the monitor that may be causing it (like the mobile/cell phone as I said).

There are no real user sevicable parts inside a monitor, but there is a lot of deadly voltage (even after the power has been disconnected for many hours), so if you don't have any success with the things I've mentioned, see if you can get a "quote" for repairs at the local TV/monitor repairer, there is a slim chance it may not be too expensive to repair.

    Matt
