w98 - Wife / Kids computer (about 8/9 years old)
Moz 1.7.8 for Wife and FF 1.04 for Kids
    ______________________________________________
Recently added a few extensions to Moz 1.7.8 for wife.
Want to update one of the extensions. But can not find "view" (called Extension panel in Firefox) to manage extensions. How does one uninstall, disable, check for updates in Moz. Suite?
:) Can't believe how I SOoooo love my FF :D

If you have the Extention uninstaller extention you are ok. If not, you will have to install two extentions, actually. I have done that to test it, and, after half hour, I was able to make it work fine. Start with the uninstaller .
I download the .xpi file (right click on the Install), and then "drag and drop" the icon into the shortcut of Mozilla. The file will not get into Mozilla, but activate the installation. You will also need the API .xpi
Do one after the other, restarting Mozilla at each step. Then you will see and Extention Uninstaller entry in Tools. All my Extentions were listed there. I had some I did not remember, but the extentions did a great job. A critical extention is the User Agent Switcher which must be uninstalled before installing an update.
I agree the Firefox way is simpler, but this thin works for Mozilla, and, I suppose NS7.2.
By the way, I like to work from the .xpi file because I did not have the errors shown when trying to use the direct install. and, besides, the .xpi is always there for future installs.

Since you need two of them, it is a dioxymoron (a chemist will appreciate that one). :)
