I know that you can have the mouse pointer options set to hide the cursor when typing in MS Word, but how do you hide it when typing in boxes, as in this bulletin board?

I'm doing lots of work in a database which has boxes that you have to mouse between and so of course I'm always having to go "click, type, move mouse, go back to typing, move mouse, click, type ... "

Grateful for any advice on this issue.

    Boppy,

Not sure what application you're working with... try using the 'Tab' key to move to the next 'textbox' or 'field'. This works in many applications, hopefully it will do the trick for you.

Thanks for your reply. This is a tricky sort of app and the tab moves the cursor in a different order to what I need, which is why I'm mousing.

Have downloaded a shareware programme called Cursor Hider, which is sort of helpful but I was hoping there might be an XP-native solution.

    Cheers,
    Jo
