    Hi All,

Can someone help me learn to change the Icon text color and the background when you highlight it? I would like to know how to change it.
EA. Black Text / with a white backgound when you highlight it. Maybe its simple, I tried some things and keep screwing up the looks..Thanks much!!!

Go to the Display icon on Control panel, and to teh Appearance tab. This is where you change these things. Also it may be easier if you hit the "Advanced" button on the Appearance tab, as it has all the changeable items in a drop down box, so its easier to choose what you want to change.

When on the Appearance tab and not yet into the Advanced button invoked area, you choose what items to change by clicking on them in the picture window on that page. In Advanced you have all the items in a combo box.

To reset it because you made it yuck, go to the Themes tab in Display and choose one of the generic default themes, like Windows XP theme. That should reset it.

To expand or at least provide a little more information on Dez Bradleys already helpful How-to (thank you Dez :) ) :

    Hi Joezep1,
You may not need this now, but other members reading this post from the "archives of past posts" may find it helpful in combination with Dez Bradley's post.
