MWPlayer10 will not play Demos

Hi Folks,

I have a problem with Windows Media Player in that it won’t play any of the Demo Videos on the Microsoft Assistance Site (http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/assistance/CH011218821033.aspx).

The moment I click to open or play the demo, Media Player opens very briefly, but closes instantly without any tell tale feedback. I tried the troubleshooting tips given with every demo, but to no avail whatsoever.

Playing a downloaded Video or any other Video/Audio Media or a live Web Cast or a Recording presents absolutely no hiccups. I even tried a reinstall, but no go. I am using WMPlayer 10 on XP Home.

Any ideas how to crack this hard nut?

The problem is over. It had to do with Windows Installer. As I wanted to delete an application I don't need at the moment, I got the tell tale pop up saying the Installer had goofed. So I reinstalled the new version 3.1 v2 and everything is back to working like a super clockwork.
