    Hi,
anyone know if a SD Memory Card Reader - writer can read Multi Media Cards as they are both the same size and my Canon Digi Camera can use both of them.
Reason I am asking is I picked up a SD Card reader and just wonder if it will read MMC.

If it does not state it on the box, then no. Return the reader and get a multi card reader.

thanks kiddk, I do have a multy card reader 30 cards but I was looking at a nice neat small one to stick into the USB port without having to look which slot.
I don't really use the MMC basically only use SD.

MMC and SD cards are the same except for the slider on the latter. They can be read in the same reader. Been there. Done that.

Note: There's a big difference in the cards, however. I had the cover fall apart on one, esposing the internal printed circuit and losing the slider, and found that the card was still readable but couldnt be written to; it was read-only by default! So it was rendered useless. I use only MMC now.
