Forget it! An entire page message just disappeared as I was typing it.
I was reporting on my maddening experiences with Yahoo Launch. May be they can delete posts beside banning some software. But, I may have hit a wrong key which deleted my message.
I got the User Agent Switcher extention in Firefox 1.0.4, and set it to assume the identity of Netscape7.1, which is recognized by Yahoo. Anything newer is no good. Last night I was able to view two commercials, but no video. Today, three commercials and one video. So, it is very clear that Yahoo will not accept the newer browsers, but will work very ineptly with their acceptable "browser ".
Now, if anyone thinks that there is something wrong with the browser, I would say, think again. I have no need for Yahoo, vh1, etc. They can go on playing their game. There are some great broadband stream, like KTBG-FM.

westside im on the ns802 (the navagator) just left launch radio (plays every nice) also plays videos @ yahoo and netscape, havent tried cmt or vh1. which no browsers can play, just the commerical.

yesterday the navigator had 3 illegal operations and the explorer got tired and had to send in a report. just a normal day on the computer. one thing that i dont like on the navigator ,the ff and the mozilla is that i have to uncheck all of the toolbars or most of them so i can get to the player controls,
try the 802 it plays most things the explorer plays.

im going to go to cmt,vh!, mtv with the 802. im back and disgusted, totally disgusted.but i was right the 802 plays what the explorer plays, which is nothing. no thats not right both play commericals at cmt,and vh1 and both wait forever for connection never get connection (excuse me this is for the radios). with the explorer its even worse, says i need plug-in and i click and get error 404 (page moved or something stupid) but you can search all of them for windows media player installer. do really think that you can find that at mtv,or cmt or vh1? oooh there isnt an icon that fits what i am thinking.

    Jan,
I find this chalanging, but when I am getting more and more irritated, it is time to stop. I was getting one newsletter from VH1, and I cannot even unsubscribe. However some feature work, and some don't. I used to be able to get videos at VH1, but I don't remember when this happened last. I still get those dumb messages about WMP9 not found. I can get audio, though, although I get a general exception for Java. I say ok, and it goes on and play.
The player says "tuning in...wait a moment ", but it plays fine. I am getting this:
    http://www.vh1.com/music/radio/stations/crunch/station.jhtml
Never have a problem with commercial.
CMt.com is touch and go. In most cases I get the WMP9 message, but I have been able to get some items.
I don't try MTV, because it parallels VH1.
In many cases the webmasters do not have a clue, or it is too much extra work to have a site play in all browsers. But, some sites do care.
I am not interested in 8.02, because of its strangeness. A weird mongrel.
